Marinated Tofu

 
 

INGREDIENTS

3 Tbs Soy Sauce

1 1/2 Tbs Lemon Juice

1 1/2 Tbs Maple Syrup

1 Tbs Ketchup

1tsp Garlic

1 pack Firm Tofu

1Tbs Cornstarch

Oil

White sesame seeds

PREPARATION

  1. Pat dry and Press the tofu for 25 min.

  2. Cut it into bite size cubes, about 1 inch cubes.

  3. Mix to make sauce, in a bowl : soy, lemon juice, maple syrup, ketchup and garlic powder.

  4. Marinate the tofu 30 min or up to 3 days. The longer it sits the deeper the flavor gets.

  5. In a small plate, place the marinated tofu and put aside the excess marinade. We will use this later

  6. In a small plate, place the marinated tofu. Save aside the excess marinade. We will use this later. Coat both sides with Starch.

  7. Heat the Frying pan at medium to medium high heat with oil. Cook the marinated tofu for 2 minutes. Then stir and turn them around. Cook another 2-3 min until crispy

  8. Turn off the fire and add in the excess sauce. Make sure is well distributed.

  9. Top with sesame seeds.
